Short summary in English (3)

I'm not happy to be in Canada at the moment. I missed Finland's second ice-hockey world championship celebrations, because I'm stuck here in Vancouver. Meh. The whole country has gone crazy, because of this championship and I really would've like to have been a part of it. Last time they won was 16 years ago when I was 15, so I was too young to go celebrate, and now I'm on the other side of the world. But that's life eh?

I even had trouble when I tried to watch the game over here. I thought they'd show it on tv, but when it was time for the game to start, there was NOTHING on tv. I was totally pissed off and I was swearing like a drunken sailor. Tried to watch the game on internet - I knew where I could watch it, but so did other Finns abroad. The site refused to work for an hour, so i missed the first period of the game. Luckily nothing happened in the game. When i finally got to login on the website, the audio and video were quite crap and it kept stopping every couple of minutes, which lead to me swearing even more. I got to see the rest of the game, but it wasn't as good a quality as i had hoped. But who cares about that now - WE BLOODY WON THE ICE-HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL AGAINST OUR ARCH ENEMY SWEDEN 6-1!!!! SUCK ON THAT SWEDEN!!!

This is as big of a deal to us Finns as it would be to english people to win the World Cup in football. So you can imagine how I feel. Here are some pics so you can see what this win means to Finns

People seriously partied all Sunday night/Monday morning and Monday evening and... are probably still celebrating. Lucky bastards :D

In other news... nothing much to report. Leading a quiet life before running off to Cuba next week. We did try out the sauna here in Finnish Home last Saturday, but that's about it. Rock n Roll baby!! ;)
